SOMALI REFUGEE IN TUNISIAN CAMP 01.jpg
Nimco, 19, a multi displace Somalian refugee with her 4 month old baby, sits in a tent in Tunisia's Choucha transit camp after fleeing the violence in Libya. .After her husband left Somalia to find work in Europe, Nimoc feared that she would be raped in Somalia, and for the protection of her unborn child. She left Somalia in May 2010, traveling through Ethopia and Sudan as a pregnant woman, before arriving in Libya where she was placed in a detention centre, up until the time when she was released to give birth in a hospital and leave the centre. .Nimco went to Tripoli where she was supported and protected by the Somalian community, who helped her to escape during the 2011 uprising in Libya. Nimco said, "I want to go to Europe to join my husband. He traveled to provide me things, he traveled for my love.".Photo/UNHCR/Anna Branthwaite/March 2011
